Alma Cabral

Our beloved mother, Alma “Millie” Cabral passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 98, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on November 16, 1927, in San Leandro California to Julian T Sanchez and Antonia Gonzales Sanchez. 

Millie attended St. Leander grade school and graduated from San Leandro High School in 1945.  She married the love of her life Anthony “Cubby” Cabral in 1949 and they shared 59 years of marriage together before his passing 2008.

Millie worked for a family-owned restaurant supply company in Oakland for many years and after retiring, she joined her son Ron in his contracting business until 2010. Although she had exceptional administrative skills, her real passion as a woman of faith was caring for others. Her warm smile and kind words of wisdom were extended to everyone she came in contact with. She cared for her children, aged parents, friends and many nieces and nephews who often stayed at “Auntie’s” and got spoiled. 

Millie is survived by her sister Antoinette Alcalde, daughter Judy Samaras (Bob Wheat), son Ron Cabral (Terry Cabral), and many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Leander Catholic Church in San Leandro and  she will now be going home to heaven to be with her beloved husband Cubby.

2/24/26 – 2:00 – 6:00 pm, Rosary and remembrances 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Funeral – St. Leander Church -550 W. Estudillo Ave, San Leandro, CA at 10:00 am.

Interment - Holy Sepulcher Cemetery 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA.
